IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam Syllabus
The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam syllabus is divided into five sections. These sections are:
1. Reasoning
The reasoning section comprises questions based on verbal and non-verbal reasoning, puzzles, coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense, syllogism, etc. The purpose of this section is to test the candidate’s logical and analytical skills.
2. Quantitative Aptitude
This section comprises questions based on mathematical calculations such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation, number systems, etc. The purpose of this section is to test the candidate’s mathematical and quantitative skills.
3. English Language
This section comprises questions based on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, cloze test, etc. The purpose of this section is to test the candidate’s proficiency in the English language.
4. General Awareness
This section comprises questions based on current affairs, banking awareness, Indian economy, etc. The purpose of this section is to test the candidate’s knowledge of the general awareness topics.
5. Computer Knowledge
This section comprises questions based on computer hardware and software, operating systems, internet, networking, etc. The purpose of this section is to test the candidate’s knowledge of computer applications and computer-related terminology.
IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam Pattern
The IBPS RRB Officer Scale I Exam is conducted in two stages – Prelims and Mains. The Preliminary exam comprises three sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. The Main exam comprises five sections – Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, and Computer Knowledge.
The Prelims exam is conducted for 45 minutes and comprises 80 questions. The Main exam is conducted for 2 hours and comprises 200 questions. Both exams are conducted online.
