SSC JE Civil Exam Pattern

The SSC JE (Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer) exam for the Civil Engineering branch follows a specific pattern. Here’s a general overview:

    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Total Marks: 200
    • Type: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • Subjects:

      • Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural)
      • Part-B General Engineering (Electrical)
      • Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical)
  2. Paper-II:

  • Paper-I is Objective Type while Paper-II is Conventional Type.
  • Both papers are bilingual i.e., questions will be in both English and Hindi.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space Visualization, Problem Solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal and Figure Classification, Arithmetical Number Series, etc.
  2. General Awareness: Current Events, India and its neighboring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, etc.
  3. General Engineering (Civil & Structural):
    • Building Materials, Estimating, Costing, and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering, Theory of Structures, Concrete Technology, RCC Design, Steel Design.
  4. General Engineering (Electrical) and General Engineering (Mechanical) cover topics relevant to those disciplines.
