The SSC JE Exam 2021 consists of two papers:
Paper-I: It is an online computer-based test (CBT), which is common for all the candidates.

The exam pattern for SSC JE Exam 2021 is as follows:
Paper-I Exam Pattern:
• Exam Mode: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT)
• Duration: Two hours
• Total Marks: 200
• Total Questions: 200
• Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer, and 0.25 marks deduction for each incorrect answer.
Paper-II Exam Pattern:
• Exam Mode: Offline Descriptive Test
• Duration: Two hours
• Total Marks: 300
• Total Questions: Two questions (Part-A and Part-B)
• Marking Scheme: Answering each question is mandatory, and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

• Analogies, Classification, Coding-Deciding, Series, Venn Diagram, Blood Relation, and puzzles
• Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning
• Decision making, Spatial visualization and Orientation
General Awareness:
• History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research, and Sports and Current Affairs.
General Engineering (Civil & Structural), (Electrical), (Mechanical)
In this section, the questions will cover the following topics:
• Civil Engineering – Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Transportation Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.
• Electrical Engineering – Basic concepts, Circuit law, Magnetic Circuit, AC Fundamentals, Measurement and Measuring instruments, Electrical Machines, and Fractional Kilowatt Motors and single phase induction Motor.
• Mechanical Engineering – Theory of Machines and Machine Design, Engineering Mechanics and Strength of Materials, Properties of Pure Substances, Combustion and pollution, Rankine cycle and Steam Turbines, and Refrigeration cycles.
