The SSC Selection Post exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C posts in various government departments. To apply for the SSC Selection Post exam, one must be an Indian citizen or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country. Additionally, there are age restrictions, which vary for different posts. Generally, the minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 30 years. However, age relaxations are available for reserved category candidates as per government regulations.

The selection process for SSC Selection Post exam involves a three-tier system. The first tier is a computer-based examination, or CBE, which is conducted to shortlist candidates for the next stage. The CBE consists of multiple-choice questions and tests the candidate’s knowledge in General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. Each section is scored separately, and the duration of the exam varies for different levels.

Qualified candidates from the CBE move on to the second tier, which is also a computer-based examination with additional content related to specific subjects for different posts. This tier assesses the candidate’s proficiency in the particular field and tests their understanding of concepts related to that subject.

After clearing the second tier, candidates are called for the third tier, which includes a skill test or document verification process, depending on the type of post applied for. The skill test may include typing test, data entry operation, or any other relevant test to evaluate the candidate’s skills necessary for the job.

Make use of the previous year question papers to get familiar with the type of questions asked and practice solving them within the given time frame.
